We are looking for an IT Project Manager who can and want to modernize, develop and take Stockholm School of Economics’ (SSE) digital environment to the next level!

The role

SSE’s digital environment is in a process of change and we are looking for you who want to be a part of and contribute to this transformation journey. As IT Project Manager you will be part of IT Services (ITS) and will be an important driving force and cohesive coordinator in the on-going improvements regarding the IT environment at the school. ITS operates and participates in various types of business development, technology and procurement projects. As IT Project Manager, you will lead different kinds of IT projects through the whole project life-cycle – always in close collaboration with the business and your experienced colleagues at the IT department, and always with the goal to improve the digital landscape for the whole organization.

You will also be responsible and take full ownership for specific technical areas and their life-cycle management, and also be an important part of continuously improving ways of working and processes in general.

Is this you?

To be successful in the role, you have:

  •  some years of experience from a role as IT Project Manager
  • led several of projects related to digitalization and modernization of IT infrastructure
  • a wide technical knowledge and interest and is a natural driver of change
  • have a relevant academic education, preferably in System Sciences or has acquired the same knowledge through experience

You are fluent in English, and knowledge in Swedish is a large plus.

It is strongly meritorious if you also have business knowledge from a similar environment as SSE and have experience from IT operation development, preferably within higher education and/or public sector. Project management certification(s) and/or experience from project processes and methods is meritorious, as is experience from operation and IT governance models such as PM3 and ITIL.

Personality wise, you are service minded, proactive, result-oriented and can initiate, drive and engage to change. You are humble and like teamwork and to build long-lasting relations, both with internal and external stakeholders. You need to be goal-oriented and focused to always find the best solutions. Since you will have a key role in an exciting journey that just has started you also need to be flexible and open-minded.

This is a permanent employment located in Stockholm City. A 6 months probationary period applies. Start date according to agreement.
