We are looking for an Educational Support Technician to join a creative team and help building a new center for learning, as a part of taking the Stockholm School of Economics’ (SSE) digital environment to the next level!

The role

SSE’s digital environment is in a process of change and we are looking for you who want to be a part of and contribute to this transformation journey. One of the focus projects is setting up a center for learning supporting faculty developing teaching and learning. As Educational Support Technician, you will be an important part of developing and forming the center and new ways of working at the school.

You will be part of the IT Services (ITS) but always work closely with the faculty to give them hands-on technical support in the educational technology. For example, you will be responsible for the studio related technology with tasks such as setting up recording equipment and video webinars/lectures. You will also have the ownership for specific applications, systems and solutions, and to teach faculty in new technical software during implementations.

A lot of focus in the role is also to continuously come up with new technical ideas, look for new/future technologies, and to ensure improvements of existing systems/tools related to educational technologies and learning platforms.

Is this you?

To be successful in the role, you have:

  • technical knowledge within educational tech/learning platforms (e.g. Canvas)
  • experience within studio techniques (e.g. Kaltura and/or Studios)
  • experience of A/V technology (eg. Zoom, Teams, presentation-tech)
  • broad understanding of digital possibilities and technical platforms
  • have a relevant academic education, preferably in System Sciences or have acquired the same knowledge through experience

You are fluent in English, and knowledge in Swedish is a large plus.

It is strongly meritorious if you also have practical experince from a similar environment as SSE. Experience from project management and/or experience from change management is also meritorious, as is experience or courses within pedagogics.

Personality wise, you are a service minded people-person who is driven by change and results. You can initiate, drive and engage to change and like teamwork and to build long-lasting relations, both with internal and external stakeholders. You need to get things done, and to be focused to always find the best solutions. Since you will have a key-role in an exciting journey that just has started you also need to be flexible and open-minded.

This is a permanent employment located in Stockholm City. A 6 months probationary period applies. Start date according to agreement.
