SSE Business Lab

About the role

Are you passionate about startups? Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for identifying opportunities and creating partnerships between organizations? Do you have experience in sales and enjoy working towards mutually beneficial outcomes?

SSE Business Lab is looking for a new Partnership Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with external partners, creating opportunities for collaboration and growth for the startups in our incubator. Your sales skills will come in handy as you seek out opportunities that benefit both parties.

Your main responsibilities will include identifying potential partners, presenting partnership opportunities, negotiating deals, and managing ongoing relationships. As a Partnership Manager, you will work closely with the startups in our incubator, understanding their needs and identifying partnership opportunities that can help them accelerate their growth.

This role requires a high level of collaboration and communication skills, as you will be working with various stakeholders both within and outside of SSE Business Lab. Your success will be measured by the number and quality of partnerships established, and the resulting benefits to our startups.

This is an exciting and dynamic role that offers plenty of room for personal and professional growth. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop the partnership program, and contribute to SSE Business Lab's continued success. If you are a self-starter with a passion for partnerships and sales, we'd love to hear from you!

Work responsibilities

In this role, you will manage and build our Partner Network and be responsible for our relationships with other important stakeholders, like our alumni. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying new opportunities: Conceptualizing new collaboration partnership initiatives and high-impact opportunities.
  • Building relationships: Cultivating business growth long-term by building lasting win-win relationships with partners.
  • Continuing to build and improve: Driving operational management of partnership projects, and leveraging existing partnerships and identifying further areas for interaction.
  • Driving projects simultaneously: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent time management skills.
  • Following up: Tracking, analyzing and communicating results metrics and trends as they relate to partners.
  • Forming partnership strategy: Ensuring that partners and opportunities for collaboration connect to the overall strategy of SSE Business Lab and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Is this you?

You’re creative and innovative, always seeking out bigger and better opportunities. You have foresight regarding what’s best for our organization and understand the importance of partnerships. We’re looking for someone that values our goals and will help us pick the best partners possible just as much as we want someone with a fresh perspective that will share their experience with our team and add their personal touch to our organization.

Requirements

  • Sales experience: Comfortable and experienced within sales, negotiations or/and building partnership.
  • Startup experience: A strong interest in following the startup scene is a prerequisite for this role. Work experience from a startup is meritorious.
  • Collaborative: Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: An interest in building new projects with the support of a small, although passionate, team
  • Communicative: You will be juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and are expected to share information in a way where you are understood. You should therefore be confident in clear and concise communication, both spoken and written. English is required and Swedish is meritorious.
  • Flexible: We are working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment where there is always something going on. We are looking for someone who can easily adapt to changing circumstances, quickly change their approach and take initiatives.
