About the Digital Student Ambassador Program

For International & Swedish BSc & MSc students

SSE is actively engaged in improving brand visibility, both in Sweden and abroad, for the benefit of you and your future career. The ambassador program is a vital aspect of cementing our position as a top tier business school and to attract top students from all around the world to apply to SSE. This initiative helps to strengthen SSE's position as a leading business school in Europe.


The ambassadors work mainly digitally within three different fields of interests and play a key role in our different outreach activities and offer a students’ point of view to future candidates by sharing their experiences at SSE. The program is for a full academic year and the ambassadors are expected to work throughout the year. You will be part of a vibrant, international, and diverse team of students, both on BSc level and MSc level. As a Student Ambassador at SSE, you'll have the chance to refine your leadership abilities, polish your communication and project management skills, and inspire others by actively representing the Stockholm School of Economics.

Ambassador Roles and Expectations

We are seeking enthusiastic Student Ambassadors to assist in promoting our school to prospective students. Opportunities are available in these three teams: The Unibuddies, The Outreach Team, and The WeChatters.

We are particularly interested in candidates who exhibit outstanding communication skills, are reliable with a positive attitude and a keen sense of motivation.

Each team will be led by a dedicated Team Leader, and we are currently accepting applications for these leadership positions as well.

About the Teams

The Unibuddies (BSc and MSc)- Two team leaders (1 BSc & 1 MSc)

As a Unibuddy, your primary objective is to assist and support others on their academic journey. Your role involves engaging with prospective and newly admitted students, both in person and through our peer-to-peer chat platform Unibuddy, to provide valuable guidance and firsthand insights into the SSE experience. Additionally, you'll contribute by writing blog posts that share authentic and helpful information about life at SSE, supporting prospective students in their decision-making process.

We're seeking Bachelor's and Master's students who possess a natural ability to connect with others, fostering a sense of belonging within our community. Ideal candidates are skilled at sharing genuine and positive experiences about SSE, while also being attentive listeners. As a unibuddy, you will also be asked to join online webinars and for the BSc ambassadors it will be mandatory to participate in the BSc Open house.


The Outreach team (MSc)- 1 Team leader

This role is ideal for individuals interested in supporting event coordination and hosting online events. Applicants should be enrolled in a master's program and eager to contribute to event planning and execution. Responsibilities include making presentations (PowerPoint) about your experiences at SSE and life as a student and being a host of the “Virtual Meet-us Series” which is taking place during the fall semester.

Other responsibilities include showing prospective students around campus, participating in online information sessions with prospective students, participating in the MSc Open house and doing take overs on SSE social media. We are seeking outgoing individuals who thrive in collaborative environments, demonstrate initiative, and are keen on perfecting their presentation skills.


The WeChatters (BSc & MSc)- 1 Team leader.

As a WeChatter you need to be fluent in one or several Chinese languages as the primary mission of this team is to boost the school's visibility across Chinese platforms like WeChat, Chase Dream and Red. This involves active participation in group chats with prospective students, as well as creating informative blog posts and translating existing articles.

Additionally, WeChatters play a vital role in our retention strategy and supporting new students during their transition. We are looking for student ambassadors who understand the Chinese culture and marketing channels, and who are able to easily connect with new people both online and face-to-face. The Bsc student ambassadors joining will also have a mandatory attendance in the BSc Open house.

  • The Unibuddies (Online chat forum answering questions to prospective students and write blogposts)
  • The Outreach team (Host online events, host presentations during webinars, join in on school visits talking about SSE and your MSc program)
  • The WeChatters (Chinese speaking students who spread the word about SSE on WeChat by answering questions, translating articles, and writing own articles for WeChat)

Compensation

Compensation will be provided for all ambassadors once the Ambassador year is completed.
1,000 SEK (transferred after having completed the ambassador’s program successfully)
4,000 SEK for Team leaders (transferred after having completed the ambassador’s program successfully)
