External Relations

We offer

Join our vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), where you will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts, industry pioneers, and thought leaders from around the globe. As the Event Coordinator, you will organize and execute a diverse range of high-profile events, making a lasting impact in the field of innovation. In this role, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities, allowing you to develop your organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The position

In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and executing a wide variety of events, such as academic seminars, industry and society seminars, tech initiative events, and flagship conferences. Work assignments include coordinating speakers, booking venues, ordering food and beverages, managing the technical equipment (audio/video systems) at the events, coordinating cleaning, and following up on communication after events.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to engage in various ad-hoc tasks that contribute to the successful execution of events and the overall operations of the House of Innovation.

Organizational belonging

You will be a part of two teams at SSE – the Stakeholder Events team within External Relations, and the Operations Team within House of Innovation (HOI). You will report to the Head of Stakeholder Events and will be expected to work closely with the Executive Director at HOI and other internal and external stakeholders. The working language at SSE is English and our faculty and staff are highly international.

The Operations Team currently consists of nine co-workers managing a broad area of responsibilities, for instance research grants and partnerships, outreach and events, research communication, course administration and fundraising. By being a member of the Stakeholder Events team, you will have the opportunity to share and gain knowledge on event planning and execution with other event specialists. This collaborative approach ensures that your work is supported by a strong network of professionals who are committed to excellence and achievement.
