Procurement Specialist with a passion for sustainability - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Are you experienced in procurement and passionate about sustainability? Stockholm School of Economics is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist with a strong commitment to sustainability to join our team. This role is a newly established position at SSE, and you will play a key role in its development and growth. You will be part of the Group Finance team and report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating procurement processes to ensure optimal terms and prices.
• Analyzing purchasing patterns and proposing improvement measures to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Managing independent procurement processes and providing support to other departments with their procurement needs.
• Integrating sustainability into all aspects of the procurement process, aligning with the school's sustainability strategy.
• Implementing and overseeing sustainability actions aligned with SSE's Sustainability Strategy.
• Monitoring and assessing departments' ongoing sustainability efforts, developing relevant metrics and benchmarks.
• Actively participating in the development and implementation of comprehensive Sustainability Policies.
• Ensuring adherence to best practices in procurement and sustainability initiatives.
• Leading and executing sustainability projects to drive positive change and continuous improvement.
• Performing other related tasks as required within the department.

Qualifications:

• Relevant higher education in business administration, procurement, or equivalent field.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement with strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Deep passion for sustainability and integrating sustainability principles into procurement practices.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven ability to independently manage and structure projects effectively.
