Education Office

The Education Office (EdO) is one of the Professional Services units at SSE. We are currently 57 staff members working in EdO. We function as a hub in the SSE journey. We provide and develop professional academic support for all stakeholders and students (BSc, MSc, PhD) during their SSE journey. It includes assessment, program management, scholarships, international collaborations, and quality measurements, academic support, central course and exam coordination, degrees, and certificates.

The role 

We're seeking a Survey and Analysis Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team at Stockholm School of Economics. This role is perfect for someone eager to dive into survey management, evaluation tasks, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will quickly adapt to our data systems, have a knack for identifying patterns, and be enthusiastic about turning data into actionable insights. Prior extensive experience is not required, but a keen analytical mind and a proactive attitude are essential. You will oversee the collection, maintenance and analysis of data concerning the school’s academic offerings and internal processes such as courses, degree programs, admission processes and student exchange programs. The role will focus on administrating various data collection processes on a regular basis. In this role, you will not only be responsible for compiling and reporting data related to the student journey, but you will also combine and analyze student data from different sources to gain insights that support decision-making.  Additionally, you will work closely with IT Services to address system-related questions.

Key responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Distribution of surveys to students and other SSE stakeholders
  • Together with other team members, analyze data received from surveys and other sources
  • Regular communication with various SSE units regarding internal evaluation processes and findings and/or interpretations of compiled data
  • Ensure collected data is complete, consistent, correct and accurately represents everything it is intended to capture.
  • Work on increasing response rates across the survey portfolio and create reports to document the progress.

Your profile

In this role, you will primarily work with a survey system called Blue by Explorance. While prior experience with Blue is not required, you must be able to learn the system quickly. You are a problem-solving specialist with integrity, attention to details, and with an analytical mindset. You are interested in data architecture and understand the complexity of data structures, information and process flows. You take ownership of tasks, independently structure your approach, and drive processes forward. You are skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing activities efficiently, with the ability to set and meet deadlines. Furthermore, you thrive in a collaborative team environment and can relate to others in a perceptive and adaptable way.

Requirement

  • Understanding and experience of similar tasks, such as course and program evaluations, collection of data, statistical analysis, and reporting of results
  • Proficiency in Excel, (i.e. pivot tables, v-look ups, macros)
  • An academic degree in relevant field
  • Oral and written fluency in English 
  • Communication skills

Meritorious:

  • Understanding of or experience with Blue and Canvas
  • Understanding of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, XML, SQL
  • Experience working in an academic setting or a similar environment
  • Familiarity with modern database and business intelligence tools
  • Knowledge of statistical languages R, Python or equivalent
  • Swedish

This is a parental leave cover for approximately 10 months with the possibility of extension.

We would prefer if you could start as soon as possible, ideally during the month of October.
