About the role
The Internship Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, coordinating, and expanding internship opportunities for students, both internationally and nationally, with a particular focus on supporting students in ranked master’s programs and international students. Additionally, the Internship Coordinator will provide guidance to students seeking internships, helping them identify opportunities aligned with their career goals, strengthen their applications, and prepare for internship recruitment processes.
Key responsibilities:
Internship sourcing and development:
- Collaborate with the Employer Relations Manager to secure high-quality internship opportunities from corporate partners, alumni, and industry leaders, both internationally and in Sweden.
- Together with the career management team, regularly review and update internship listings in the Career Hub, ensuring relevance to students' areas of study and career goals.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders:
- Partner with program management to ensure internships integrate seamlessly with academic schedules, especially for ranked master’s programs, and that the students receive adequate support in securing internships.
- Work closely with the Corporate Relations team and the Employer Relations Manager to leverage existing corporate relationships and increase internship opportunities.
Student support and coaching:
- Work closely with students providing guidance and resources to help them secure internships aligned with their academic and career objectives.
- Provide support for international students, including information on visa processes, work permits, and tips for navigating the Swedish job market.
Data-tracking and reporting:
- Track internship placements, completion rates, and post-graduation employment outcomes.
Your profile
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources, International Relations, Education); a master’s degree is meritorious.
- 3–5 years of experience in recruitment, talent management, career services, or a related role within higher education or corporate environments.
- Fluency in English is required for this role.
- Proven experience in internship or job placement.
Key competencies:
- Relationship building: Build strong connections with corporate partners, alumni, and stakeholders to expand internship opportunities.
- Industry insight: Knowledge of career paths and internship opportunities relevant to business school students, e.g. in finance, consulting, and global organizations.
- Student focus: Supportive, empathetic, and passionate about helping students achieve their career goals.
- Cross-cultural communication: Skilled in working with diverse populations.
- Strong communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Project management: Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing events, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Data-driven: Use data to track outcomes and inform strategies; experience with career services systems is a plus.
Meritorious:
- Experience with Swedish labor laws and visa regulations for international students.
- Familiarity with Swedish and international recruitment trends.
- Proficiency in Swedish is a plus but not required; fluency in English is essential.
