About the Role

As Director, Campus Kämpasten, you will have overall responsibility for the conference facility and lead the development of Kämpasten as a premium destination for learning and meetings. You will drive, develop, and commercialize the operation with a strong focus on quality, profitability, and long-term sustainability.

The role carries clear commercial responsibility and involves close collaboration with SSE Executive Education and the Stockholm School of Economics, ensuring that Kämpasten is an integrated and attractive part of the School’s ecosystem. You will lead and develop the organization, collaborate with external partners, and be responsible for the long-term management and development of the property and surrounding land. The position reports to the CEO of SSE Executive Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for Campus Kämpasten’s operations, results, and development

  • Ensure a high-quality, premium guest and participant experience throughout

  • Develop revenue streams and long-term profitability through commercial development and business-driven initiatives

  • Lead and develop the organization while fostering and strengthening a professional, service-oriented, and engaging culture

  • Drive strategic development and change initiatives

  • Manage and develop the property and land, including long-term planning for maintenance, investments, and development projects

  • Collaborate with external suppliers, contractors, and partners

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, particularly within the Stockholm School of Economics ecosystem

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial drive and well-developed business acumen

  • Proven experience with P&L responsibility, business development, and solid financial understanding

  • Experience from conference, hotel, hospitality, or similar service-oriented operations

  • Experience in property development, at least at client/commissioning level

  • A clear and confident leader with the ability to lead, engage, motivate, and develop employees, while fostering a professional and service-oriented culture

  • Experience leading development and change initiatives

  • Experience working in an international environment

  • Fluency in both Swedish and English at a very high level is a fundamental requirement

Location

The position is based at Campus Kämpasten in Sigtuna, with close collaboration with SSE Executive Education and the Stockholm School of Economics. You will report to the CEO of SSE Executive Education.
