The Department of Economics (DE) at SSE employs three administrators who work together to provide administrative support to researchers and students. The role as an Administrative Assistant is broad and flexible, consisting of both administrative and hands-on work tasks. Mainly, you will be responsible for course administration, scheduling, grade reporting, updating the course web and providing support to students. The Department of Economics frequently hosts different kinds of seminars and other social events and you will be responsible for preparing and arranging most of them. You will also be assisting your colleagues with purchasing office supplies and furniture.
You should have a few years of experience from an administrative role and have strong oral and communication skills in both English and Swedish. You should also be technically skilled, service minded and have a proactive and flexible attitude. Furthermore, you should have a structured way of working and are motivated by the pursuit of knowledge and improving processes. Experience from working in an academic environment is a plus.
The Department of Economics is located at the Stockholm School of Economics in the heart of the vibrant Swedish capital, Stockholm. The department consists of 17 faculty members, about 35 PhD students and three professional services positions. You will be part of the professional services team together with two colleagues.
